Before we go any further, I just need to get it out that I leave for THAILAND in FOUR DAYSSSS!!!!! :D :D :D :D I literally feel like a 6 year old on Christmas Eve. I haven't been able to sleep and Thailand is ALL I am ever thinking about. At nap time at daycare? Thailand. I imagine myself riding the elephants and... pretty much I just imagine the elephants. I am SO EXCITEDDDD!!!! Like... OH my goodness. haha I can't even express it. I get to ride an elephant at Patera Elephant Farm in Chiang Mai Thailand!!! WHAT?! That's only the coolest thing my mouth has ever spoken. I mean really... I get to spend a whole day with my elephant. JUST me and my elephant. !!! ^^^ THAT'S SO COOL!!!! When people are like "Got any sweet plans this weekend?" I'm like "Oh ya know... I'm going to Thailand... gonna spend a whole day with an elephant... you?" But no one ever answers. Cuz my answer is WAY cooler!! mwahahaha!!! SO EXCITING!! But ok. I'm gonna get on with this post, I'm sure there will be many more an outburst about those elephants! :P
Okay, so I'm gonna not write anything about work in this post... cuz I could go on forever. But, work is good. :P Scaryish... but good. Mwahhah "Scary?" you ask... Umm... hah... yeah. Just wait. I said I wouldn't talk about work. So, moving on.
Umm... what happens in life besides work? I'm not really sure anymore. OH. Young Women's is the best thing ever. I LOVE my girls!! Amy just left for Fiji for the rest of the summer, so it's just Katelyn and I. So, that'll be fun. Cept I'm ditching her too! :( boohoo. :( anyways... We've had fun doing modesty scavenger hunts at J C Pennys (basically running around finding modest clothes to wear for different occasions... lol), We did a hike up Taylor Cutoff which was wayyyy fun, but we got completely rained out and it was SO muddy. It would have been fun if I dressed for it. I was wearing my only sneakers... so I had to borrow Katelyn Turner's to wear to work the next day. haha Actually, I borrowed them a long time ago and I still have them... lucky me!! We also had fun playing water baseball. Katelyn was freaking awesome at it, I however was a very good umm... watcher? I would say cheer leader, but then I would have to puke a little. I was gonna get all in it and play but I seriously had JUST gotten my shoes dry from the week beforeeee!!! hahaha ugh... anyways. We've had some good times. :) This last week, the girls were at Girl's Camp. So, I went and visited on Thursday evening and I had SO MUCH FUN!! It made me miss my Girl's Camp days so much. They let me sing Da Moose and ... hhh... I felt so cool again!! I had a couple people come up and tell me that they had decided to retire Da Moose song. They said that it just doesn't feel right to sing it while I'm not there. haha! Is it awful that that totally made my life? Like, that makes me SO happy. It's like my biggest accomplishment (until I ride an elephant...) and like my pride and joy. haha!! I am so proud... I feel so cool. Anyways, Girls Camp was a success. I wish I could have stayed! haha Anyways, here's a random grouping of pictures from random YW activities. :)
My girls and me! Before Angel left. :(
Modest churchwear in J C Penny's!
I love Katelyn. She's so freaking cool.
Amy is rockin. She turns 14 in 5 days so I'd be losing her anyways... hhh...
Anyways, that's my amazing Young Women. :) I love them so much. I really REALLY don't want to leave. Like, I can't even handle thinking about it right now. Sister Marshall and Sister Lord are the coolest ladies I have ever met. I have learned SO much from them and I am going to miss them more than my words can express. :( I don't want to go. hhh...
On a happier note, Katelyn Turner and I have had some pretty epic adventures. :) The best thing ever? Midnight puddle jumping. Words don't describe. So here are pictures.
It's just that epic. Midnight puddle jumping.
Cartwheel attempt....epic fail.
Katelyn's sweet splash! I swear hers was better than mine... she's just better at taking pictures apparently.
hhh... whelp... that about sums it up for now. If I think of anything sweet later, I'll add stuff. haha My mind is shutting down though apparently. I'm so OLDDD!! I can't stay up late at all anymore. :P hahaha UGGGHH!! Anyways... PEACE OUT.
Just kidding!! It's like... a month later. But I have another story to write. So, I know I said I wouldn't talk about work in this post, but I want to talk about work now. Sorry! Ya know how I work at Banbury Corner Daycare in Port Angeles? Yeah, it's a long bus ride. But it's chill. So I like it. Anyways... a few days ago, Bibity Bobity lost a few employees or something. So, they needed some employees from PA to go to the Sequim location! They obviously came to me first because I live in Sequim, and so I got to work in Sequim for a few days! We had fun, it was a bit overwhelming because of all the new kids, and also because they go thru age 12... which is not what I'm used to. haha! But still fun. Anyways. I worked there Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday just before I left for Thailand. On Friday, they asked me to come in early to go on the field trip with them!!!! How cool is that?! I felt a little bad stealing the spot from someone else, but apparently no one else wanted to go, so they were glad I wanted to, otherwise they wouldn't be able to. SWEET! So, Theresa and I got to take like 20 school aged kids to Fort Warden in PT!! I haven't been since my own field trips there as a kid, so it was so much fun. I was kind of assigned to a kid named Elijah, who we didn't know much about. Actually, it was only his second day at daycare, so no one knew him. But we became buddies. He was SO CUTE!! The smallest little 7 year old. When we got on the bus we asked him if he brought a lunch and he was like "Yes I did! And, I brought extra pants, shirts, and underware! And I have sunscreen, bakugons, a coat, and paper!! I'm ALWAYS prepared!" It was SO cute!! haha We talked a lot on the bus and he told me about all of his bakugons. It was quite a long bus ride to Fort Warden, so he kept asking if we could have more room on the next bus (there were two kids and me sitting on two bus seats). Little Emma was sitting next to him and got really carsick. :( Poor girl. When we finally got to Fort Warden, we walked down to the beach and had lunch. Eli ate incredibly fast and started playing in the sand. It didn't take long for the others to finish too, so we all played in the sand for a bit.
Eli is the one laying in the sand off to the right of the picture. :) I probably loved him so much because he looks a little like Jarom. Anyways, we let them play in the water for a bit and Eli was super glad he brought extra clothes. Emma didn't, and she went all the way under. We think she meant to, but she wasn't super happy about how cold it was! haha poor thing. But I bet it helped the car sickness!
Well, we got all the kids changed and went up to the bunkers. I was holding Eli's hand and he got so excited when he saw the bunkers!! He thought for a second, then asked "Do, people live there?" and I was like "Nope." He got confused and was like "WAIT. What's the point of going here then?! There's not gonna be any ice cream!!" That was when I knew that I totally loved this kid!! hahaha we had a lot of fun and Theresa kept scaring the kids by hiding in dark places in the bunkers! It was SO funny!! haha they loved it! It was really sad at one point though because it was time to leave and we told all the kids to meet us back in front, and Emma just kept running. I had to wrangle all the kids to go find Theresa, so I ran back to find Emma a couple minutes later. She was on an upper bunk of the bunkers totally bawling. It was SO sad!! She's so adorable though... I just love her. I calmed her down and we met with all the others in front. On the way back down to the beach, I held Eli's hand again, and he started telling be about why ice cream was so healthy for us! haha again, my kind of kid!! He said something about how it has lactose in it, and that's super healthy for us! I was so glad to hear that. Needless to say, we were very excited when Theresa announced that she'd be buying everyone ice cream before we got on the bus! haha so fun!
On the long bus home, Eli and another kid played Bakugon and I made sure the other kid wasn't cheating Eli. He tried... and failed. :P Later, Eli and I were talking and suddenly he said "Well, this is fun, but do you mind if I got to sleep now, like my friends?" and I was just laughing. SO cute!! On the short bus ride from Sequim transit to Bibity, Jasmine noticed my CTR ring and asked if I was Mormon. I said I was and asked how she knew about CTR rings. She said her friend McKenna Kelbel has one. When I said I was Mormon, Eli's eyes totally lit up and he was like "I go to the Mormon church too!!" It was incredibly exciting. I love Eli. I asked when he goes and he said "After lunch!" So, I think that means he's in the Dungeness Ward. I wanna go find his family and ask if I can babysit!! haha is that creepy stalkerish? Yes... Oh well. I had such a fun day with those kids... especially Eli. I love Bibity! I really love Banbury too, but it's haunted. And, the workers are so mean to each other. At Bibity, it seems like everyone really likes each other. But maybe that's because it takes a week or two to have people start treating you like crap. hahaha!! Anyways, great day!!
Now, Peace Out. I promise.
