So, the title of my post is only because, if next year actually IS the end of the world, I'll never get to use that as a "Happy New Year!" post. So, I thought I'd use it this year. Just in case. :P
Anyways, it's New Year's Eve again... in case you missed the little date published at the top of my post. Yep. 2011 has almost drawn to a close, and 2012 is so close I can almost taste it!! I'm not gonna lie, I'm STOKED for 2012. (I don't know why I say that... why would ANYONE lie about being stoked for 2012?) Anyway, it's gonna be an awesome year. I suppose since it's the end of the year, it's time I set some New Year's resolutions. But, I don't really like the idea of posting those for the world to see. So, what I am going to post is that my New Year's resolution is to actually WRITE down my New Year's resolutions. That hasn't happened in a long time, and I need to do better this year. So there we go. New Year's Resolution is to write down my New Year's Resolutions. haha!
HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

The Christmas Devotional
Okay. I felt this wonderful occasion needed it's own blog post.
So, the first week in December, I had the awesome opportunity to go to the Christmas Devotional! Like, actually going to Salt Lake, to the conference center, and getting to watch it! It was SO wonderful. The conference center was gorgeous, the devotional was beautiful, the company was wonderful, the Christmas lights were incredible, the night was perfect. :) Freezing. But perfect. hehe

Our incredible seats!
This post has so many smiley faces. These pictures just make me so happy!
hhh... That was a fun day. :) I hardly have words to talk about how cool it all was. Getting to see the lights for the first time was so exciting! I've ALWAYS wanted to see the lights and I've never gotten to.
Can we play Christmas music yet?!
Wow. What a difference a few weeks can make.
I spose we'll get to that later. :) For now, I'm gonna go back a few weeks to catch up on ... my life? Yeah. I guess it never actually happened if it isn't written down. So... here we go! Also, I'm sitting next to Tucker right now and he's twitching in his sleep. Who knew dogs could be so entertaining? In their sleep...? Anyways --TANGENT! Sorry.
So, where did I leave off? I think it was the opera? WOW. Long time ago. hhh... WELLLLL... I guess we're talking about Halloween? I'm kind of lazy right now so I'm just gonna put in some pictures.
Okay. So, a few weeks later, (Nov 3) I was sitting in class and I got a text from Emily. I called her after class and she had tickets to go see the Vienna Boys Choir!!!! She and Amy had both won, so they had 4 tickets...!!! I wanted to go SO bad but it was for THAT day and I was supposed to give a presentation in my Speed Reading class. :( Kill me. (please don't) If I stayed for speed reading, I wouldn't make it to SLC in time. But if I skipped speed reading, I would fail my presentation. But this was pretty much a lifelong dream!! (Mostly stemming from when I was 10 years old and completely in love with every boy in the choir... but still... Now they're ridiculously adorable children! I still wanted to see them!) Long story short, I got out of my presentation and hit the road!!! AAAND - I drove to SLC all by myself!! *applause please* Yeah, I was really proud. I went to Em's, we got some dinner and went to the coolest concert ever! They sang some incredible Austrian pieces, some ancient pieces from the first years of the choir (like 600 years ago). THEN, they sang some modern pieces and sang the Beatles, Queen, Abba... and some others. It was so cool to see! haha! SUCH a fun concert. I ended up spending the night at Em's cuz I was so tired after the concert and didn't want to drive home in the dark. I had my anatomy book with me so I studied for my midterm and drove home in the afternoon. I went straight to campus and aced it!! I was stoked.
Later, (I think it was Nov. 10) I went with Emily, Amy, and Megan to Utah Symphony performing Beethoven's "Pastoral" Symphony and the Ride of the Valkyrie's. It was so cool! They were incredible and it was just so relaxing to sit and soak in the intense classical music. There's just something about this type of music. So much culture behind it. It's just rejuvenating! With the Vienna Choir Boys last week and Beethoven's Symphony - dah! So wonderful. Sometimes I feel like being in Provo, I lose all sense of culture. I think this is probably a post for another time, it's just something I've been thinking about a lot lately. Yeah... I'll save it for later.
THEN - November 16, I took my anatomy lab final! I was actually kind of sad taking it. I seriously love anatomy so much. It's been the best class ever. But, it was really nice getting Tuesday nights back! haha and then I also had two more hours of free time on Wednesdays! haha it was nice. Also though, this day ended up being one of the best days ever. :) But, I'm gonna talk about that on my other blog. I did alright on the final, about the same as my midterm. Not great, but not terrible either. But, hhh... such a good day! Along with this "such a good day", there's a lot more I need to talk about. But again, it's a post for a different blog.
Football games are fun. :)
Thanksgiving! Holy cow. I was so lucky! Everything worked out perfectly and I got to go to Moscow! Jeni took me to Idaho Falls with her and I spent the night at her house. Then, I drove up the rest of the way with Tom's parents! So cool! They're so much fun. I was so excited to get there and spend time with Shar and the kids! Kaydance and I painted fingernails and toenails and drew pictures and sang songs! Jarom and I talked about anatomy, geography, and LDS populations. Payson and I played angry birds. haha! So fun. Here are some pictures:

Carving pumpkins! This was a 'sword in the stone' moment. I couldn't get my knife back out!
Before the Halloween party at Enclave. :)
This was Jeni's stake Halloween party. I crashed it. :) We had fun!
Basically Halloween was pretty fun. I went to the haunted forest with Aaron and Laree. Poor Laree was absolutely scarred! haha we were standing in line before we even got in and this mummy creature came up and just stood by Laree. When she finally noticed she SCREAMED and latched on to me! haha I don't think she let go for a second until we were safely in the car. BUT- after the forest we saw someone dressed as Captain Jack! haha We got pictures. :)
Later, I went and crashed Jeni's Stake Halloween party. It was fun, mostly just a dance, but there was food and cool blow up toys! haha then, on Halloween day, we went to an Enclave Halloween party which was way fun. :) I miss Enclave so much!! I loved being back with friends and familiar quarters. And it was fun to see Bishop and Sister Rust again. :)

Isn't she gorgeous?!
She was excited about showing off her fingernails.
Lucky kid. Grandpa just handed him a drumstick! haha he carried that around for a while...
Jarom wasn't putting his coat on. So I did! Then he put mine on. :P
Payson!!
Thanksgiving was a blast. We ate at the church and then let the kiddos play around while everyone passed out on the church floor. haha! I played in the gym with the kids and Kayda decided it was time to play house. So she said "Andrea, you can be the mom and Jarom will be the dad. Cuz he's the oldest boy." To which Jarom looked at me and said "Heyyy Wife." In the manliest low pitched voice I've ever heard an 8 year old make! (It was almost as if he was putting his false vocal cords to use!) haha I laughed so hard!!
The next day was Jarom's baptism! What a special day. He was so excited. It was actually the cutest thing ever seeing how excited he was. It was just our family, Tom's family, some missionaries, and a member of the bishopric (who has been their home teacher for the past few years) so that made it really personal and special. I got to play my flute with Mom and Shar, so that was SO much fun! We played a baptism primary song and "The Morning Breaks"...? I'm not sure if that's what it was called, but it was pretty. I loved getting to play with Mom and Shar again. :) And, I survived most of the baptism, but only until the closing song singing "Families Can Be Together Forever." That one always gets me, but especially at my nephew's baptism. I love that kid so much. I'm so proud of him for making good choices!! Way to go Jarom!
So grown up!
My adorable sister and her adorable family. :)
I just thought this was a cool picture. Check out Jarom's eyes!!
Kayda is so precious! I love this picture.
Hhh... I'm so glad I got to go to Shar's for Thanksgiving! I love being there. It just felt so peaceful and relaxing getting to be with family again.
Favorite Quotes:
"Jarom! Stop putting Pomegranate in your belly button!!" (Don't even need an explanation)
"Kaydance Jacob Bean!" (Yelled by Payson as Kaydance ran past the bedroom at bedtime.)
"We're gonna play Angry Birds!" (gleefully pronounced by Payson to the lady taking orders at the food place after Dad went out to get his iPad)
Then, in the same burger place Jarom ate two whole cheeseburgers. Dad let him order his second one all by himself so Jarom got so excited getting to hand the lady the money. He sat down with us chanting his number "2-0-7! 2-0-7!" until they came out with it! haha a few minutes into the chanting the lady yelled back to the cooks "uhh... is that cheeseburger about ready?!" Then came out with it and annouced "2-0-7!" And Jarom leaped off the chair saying "I won the lottery!!" haha it was SO cute! Such a great Thanksgiving.
After thanksgiving, my roommates and I made an epic blanket fort! We watched The Diary of a Wimpy Kid in our fort and did our nails. Such a girl party. haha! So fun though. :)

None of us look very good in this, but that was kind of the point of the night. :)
The next few weeks of my life were taken up trying to finish projects, studying like crazy for anatomy and just trying to survive finals! I did indeed survive finals, but barely. And, we're still waiting on grades. :) I have so much more to say... but not in this post. It was an -awesome- end to the semester. Just saying. :)
